We are a travel concierge service
Plastik Tour is a travel concierge service. We do not give medical advice. We are not a hospital, a clinic or a health professional.
We help you organize a trip: introductions to independent surgeons, appointments, travel and accommodation. Everything medical is done by your surgeon and the other licensed professionals you choose. See our Terms.
Nothing here is medical advice
The information on this site, in our guides, in our chat or assistant and from our team is general information to help you understand your options. It isn’t medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Our team members aren’t acting as health professionals when they speak with you, and they can’t tell you whether a procedure is right or safe for you.
Whether you’re a candidate for a procedure, your treatment plan and the final price are decided by your surgeon after evaluating you. Please decide only after a consultation with a qualified surgeon, and talk to your own doctor too.
Risks and results
Every surgery has risks, including bleeding, infection, scarring, complications from anesthesia, blood clots and the need for further surgery. Results vary from person to person and can’t be guaranteed. Recovery times and procedure details on this site are typical, and your surgeon will explain what applies to you. Photos and descriptions are illustrative.
Independent providers
Surgeons and clinics are independent professionals who are responsible for your medical care and for explaining the risks and getting your informed consent. We check surgeons against the criteria on our vetting page, but that is not a guarantee of skill or results.
Travel after surgery and aftercare
Flying and long journeys after surgery carry extra risks, such as blood clots. Follow your surgeon’s instructions about how long to stay in Medellín and when it’s safe to travel home.
Before you travel, tell your own doctor at home about your plan and arrange follow-up care for your return. Care at our Recovery House follows your surgeon’s instructions and doesn’t replace your surgeon or a hospital. We recommend travel and medical insurance that covers complications.
Emergencies
If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number straight away. In Colombia the emergency number is 123; in Canada and the United States it is 911. Don’t use our website, chat or WhatsApp for emergencies.
